Hi guys, another FNG here. Got ma smokette seasoned an getting ready to do a brisket when i notice the temp setting wont go any farther than half past 200-225, about 215 i would think. It just totally stops, wont go any higher to 225 my intended setting. Any ideas or is this an issue? Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Call Tony in service on monday morning.
Until then,
I'd put a temp probe in it and run it a couple of hours, today.

Try it at 200 and see what kind of temp swings you get.

If they are within 180-220,with an empty cooker, you aren't too far off.

Next turn it up as far as it goes.

Try it again.

Around 265 is about the peak, anyway.

If I had a new cooker,I'd be crazy wanting to try it out.

If you get around 225,that is all you want anyway.

If the cooker temps won't get above 215 and you want to cook anyway, tightly foil the brisket about 175 and take it up to where you want it.

It's only a brisket and I wouldn't be able to stand the wait.LOL

Hope this helps a little.
