Finally made some wings I was happy with. For some reason, I have never found a rub/flavor combination that I liked for hot wings. Most chicken rubs are too heavy on salt for my taste. This one finally did the trick, thanks to some other forum members.

Sprinkled with granulated garlic, Yeager's Wing Dust (that I received in one of the member exchanges), and some Everglades Heat (that I also received from one of the member exchanges).

Into smoker at 275 with hickory and cherry for about an hour.

Removed. Put on broiler pan in oven at 500. 3 minutes each side to crisp the skin.

Painted with thin layer of Mr. B's BBQ sauce.

Came out very good. Not overly salty like a lot of rubs. The garlic tang really helps, and the Everglades Heat gives it just enough heat. My wife, who does not like wings, even enjoyed them.

Good result.

Thank you to my forum friends who supplied me with "the right stuff."

Awesome recipe. Going to be doing this for the start of regular season, maybe serve them with some of my famous potato salad( that I stole from http://emerils.com/127868/bacon-potato-salad). Lets go Chiefs!
