Just wanted to say thanks to all on this forum, I have been reading all your posts for about a year now.
I am finally going to be a proud daddy of a
CS 008.
I got started smoking a few years ago when a friend gave me his electric bullet smoker when he was moving, I cooked on it for a while and the food turned out ok. Then I found a charcoal bullet at a garage sale, cooked on it only a few times,"charcoal what a pain".
I then modified the charcoal smoker with a propane burner and regulator from my old turkey fryer, this worked much better because I could regulate the cooking temperature as I wanted it.
A few weeks ago I took a bunch of ribs that I had smoked the night before to work for everyone to have for lunch. Everyone told me that they were really good, I made a comment that they would be even better if I had a real smoker.
Well I got a Christmas card in the mail last night from the contractor that I do a lot of work for and it said "order your smoker I'm paying for it."
I guess I will be doing a lot of smoking or at least trying in a few weeks.
