I'm thinking about gettin a digital controller for my Traeger. Can anyone tell me how accurate it is with temp control and what the pros and cons are and if price justifies laying out $189 smackers.

The digital numbers look cool! Pro you will have an extra controller, con you will be out $189 and you will still not know the internal temp. Also I found my inverter did not like the digital and I had to go back to the led type when running off batteries and inverter. To know exactly what is happening inside my FE I use a probe from the Thermapen folks with one of their digital readouts. Built for smokehouses and probe good for 650 degrees, armored cable.
I upgraded my Traeger and really like the digital controller. At the same time I also purchased the wireless temp gauge. It is a lot of help. It can show you the grill temp which on mine was and is hotter than the digital controller shows. I am told this is because the guage for the controller is up high.
