Hello Q,s

I seasoned my new 55 then smoked catfish and saugage together. For my 1st it was good. The next day I smoked BB ribs and chicken. After four hrs. took them off. They look great. The problem is they tasted like FISH! Do I need to clean out after I cook fish? Can I use a cleaner and hose out?

Hi Dennis - I've never heard of anyone Q'ing fish for their "1st Q." Think you are supposed to do a really fatty meat like a butt or briskett for the first Q. Fish as a 1st Q may have been a mistake. I'm sure someone more experienced will have something to say. Hey! We all make mistakes. Don't let this get you down. Your CS can be cleaned and re-seasoned if necessary. Let some others chime in and give their advice.
