Just received my FEC's but have not had the time unpack them. I want to buy meat to smoke over the weekend. What do they recommend for the first few times for seasoning?

Season them tonight, just fill with pellets and run for some hours, then you'll be ready to go to work.
Butts. Easy, lots of flavor and take little work in the FE.
Do butts on Saturday for seasoning, ribs or your favorite on Sunday.

Eddy used to say cook some hamburgers to grease up the walls some and cut down fly ash.

thanks, will do butts. first i have to get some help to unpack them but some how i will manage. Once I am set up I will do a head to head of my Traeger 150's vs to new FEC100.I will do this over the next few weeks. I will post photos and opinions then.
