What's wrong

I went to fire up my 55 today and nothing happens. Is this most likely a thermostat problem or a heating element problem.

Does anybody know the best way to test either item to find the problem

I tested for cotinuity and everything and everything checked out OK. I turned the thermostat off and plugged in the cs and the receptacle started smoking and the unit stated to heat up.

Now I'm afraid to use this thing

I'm no expert,but I'd call service on Monday and let them handle it.

They don't usually monitor the forum.

We're not going to try to tell you how to test it, that's up to the company that makes them, they can help you out best.

Sorry it has to wait until Monday.
