Go to Amazon and take a look at this highly rated scale. Weighs in oz/lb or grams up to 11 lbs. It's on sale for $25, no tax, free shipping. It has a Tare feature, which I find handy on my scale. Place a bowl on the scale, then add the dry ingredient you want to weigh. The scale will automatically deduct the weight of the bowl and give you the weight of your dry ingredient.

If this doesn't fit your needs, Google "Kitchen scales on sale" for a multitude of choices.

I bought this Salter Kitchen Scale, model 1007:

Has the same Tare feature and looks neat sitting on the counter.

I've used Soehnle digital kitchen scales for many years and have always been very satisfied. The current model I have is the Page Evolution Digital. It's a tablet form with a tempered glass surface and a touch screen. It's 0.39" thick, similar to an IPad2. It measures both dry and liquid ingredients. The weighing modes are pounds/ounces, fluid ounces, grams, and millimeters. In graduations of 0.05 oz, it's capacity is 9 lbs, 15 oz (5 kg). Unlike the tare feature of many scales, it has and Add & Weigh feature to use when adding multiple ingredients. You zero it out after adding an ingredient to get the separate weights of each individual item added.

The design is sleek, it's easy to store, and it's very portable. I found a sleeve for, I believe, a Samsung Galaxy 8.9 tablet that's a near perfect fit for it. I bought it earlier this year on Amazon for ~ $35.

Pags - The picture of the Soenhle scale I posted is a bit misleading. The surface is tempered glass, but it's not clear as yours is. The model shown is white sitting on a white surface, so it may appear to be clear. It comes in two other colors, black and pale silver. I have the latter. A more representative picture is here.
