I bought a Bradley last summer and built a PID for it. While this relieved the need to frequently check the cooking temperature, it didn't alleviate the need to watch the temp of the meat and pull it when it was at the desired temp. The other things that about the Bradley that I didn't care for was the moving parts of the puck pusher. While I never had a problem, I didn't really trust it either. Lastly, I hated the clean ups.
These issues led me to the AmeriQue, which I recently bought. The first thing I noticed is that it's built like a tank. It really feels like a professional piece of equipment. The electronics are nothing to fear. It's simple to program, and then you just let it do its thing. It's been brutally cold here, and the AQ runs just like it were summer time. Cleanup is as simple as removing the old foil and a quick wipe with a paper towel- that's it.
Bottom line is the AQ is a joy to use. It's as straight forward as you could want.
I hope this helps.
