We walked with Grand Reserve on C2C. Andy Groneman from Smoke on Wheels took GC. Funny thing, we never got a brisket call, or any other calls for that matter, on the KCBS contest.

The 40 mph south winds were a bit much. I'm thinking Wizard of Oz is more of a documentary vs a movie. Smiler

Just as an illustration on just how close the point chase is in these contests, here's the scoring on the top three teams in the Chest to Chest Brisket Championship---
Smoke on Wheels 420.22846
Hondo/Maxque 419.8289
Butcher BBQ 419.48568

On the KBCS Winter Q side of the contest, Butcher BBQ beat us on ribs by .0002 of a point.
Man.....

I was just excited I didn't have to pay shipping on Davids products Smiler

Yes.... my first KCBS gig. Had a blast. Learned even more. It would take a while for me to learn the finer points of scoring. I have learned to hate parsley Smiler The wind blows in Kansas.

Oh yeah......... Maxie was in charge of ribs on our team and was out to beat David.

He cried all the way home over that .0002 point

Maybe it was a ploy for me to buy him 8 margaritas to console him.
