Wood Identification Please....

Hey everyone...New to this site and like what I'm seeing. I do however need some help. I have a local wood vender who offered to deliver some bbq smoking and fire pit wood to my house. But he delivered while I was not home and I have no clue as to which is what. I'm used to opening bags of "wood chunks" from the store and they are clearly marked. Thanks for the info...

It would be a guess, but it appears to be some type of fruit wood. Tom always said chicken was cheap, so try a little piece on it and see what it tastes like.

Ok so I was told that pic 1 is firewood and all the rest is Oak. Seems a bit different to be Oak but I'm no expert.

You don't mention where you are,which sometimes gives a hint.

That said,the Southern Hardwoods firm that delivers to the bbq chains identifies their cordwood as "southern hardwoods".
