What is the advantage or dissadvantage of the FE wood pellet smoker .vs. the electric cookshack?

for us the breakdown was as follows
sm150 peggy was very comfortable with and the sample ribs cookshack gave us at the atlanta nbbqa convention were great.,
fec100 approved for competition and for me that was great.
the cost of both units was less than either a southern pride or backwoods so that we bought one of each.
advantage of this combo is when the 2 of us cater. we can use both units for big events or use fec100 for cooking and sm150 for holding or just use the sm150 and make peggy do all the work.
our trailer with them was delievered today and i hope that the facility where i store my trailer has power as i sure would like to season them in especially since pork picnics were 59 cents a pound and i love doing them lol

The first question are you looking for home or restaurant use and how much do you plan on using it.
The entry level FE is pretty expensive, and the electrics have lower to higher end.
As for the difference, the electrics us electricity for heat and wood for flavor and the FE's use wood pellets for both.

Hey prisonchef313, CONGRATULATIONS! I was wondering if you were ever going to actually take delivery. You are some very patient folks. Hope your trailer is everything you hoped it would be! How about posting some pictures when you get a chance. And make sure you have the thing insured before the next hurricane hits.

hey thanks man. bad part is i still haven't seen it since i worked a double shift yesterday and a single shift today. peggy says that they followed my drawings and she says it is beautiful. peg bought a disposable camera but we are going have those transfered to disc and will send them to stuart for posting.
now if you have any idea where i can buy two honda eu3000is generators in florida that sure would help me season the sm and fec
at least it is here and what the heck generators will come lol

ps. now the real fun starts. i get to have the state do the final inspection and sign off but don't see any real problem there since both the sm and fec have big ole nsf tags on them
