As you'll see in another thread, I am working in a refurb of a 13 year old smokette.
One thing I have not been able to figure out is the function of the three small stainless screws that go into the holes on the front of the stainless top. On my smoker, there is just some rusty crud under the screws, and no way for them to hold the top down. It also doesn't look like the top needs to be held down there; it is already attached by the vent assembly and the screws on the side.
Does anyone have a smoker that shows what these screws attached to when it was made?
