Just thought it would be the best Q ever.
Done some great Q on my brinkman grill for years
My bud has a CS and loves it, makes great ribs/brisket.
It is a different way of cooking for me.
May try a piece of charcoal nest time(for taste ?)

It is a learing curve for me, I will say those ribs was the best I have ever done.

Gonna try some pork steaks next week.

spikeQ - Patience is a key. If you used your ECB for years and loved it rest assured that it's going to take a few appempts with the CS to produce a product you like. Once you get the hang of it as far as times and temps the rest is pure fun. Experiment with woods, rubs, brines and bastes. Remember to keep good notes so you can replicate what you've done then begin to spice it up and add flavor by experimenting. BBQ is not an exact science and everyones taste is different. Keep with it and you're going to be very satisfied - especially with the time you save not messing with the fire in the ECB. Big Grin

Best of luck to ya!

PS Be sure to read and reread the Newbie's Thread!
OK I give what are ECB and WSM ?

What happened the first time was I got hungry at 3 hours and should have waited it out, but know I know.

Pork Steaks is a Missouri thing, slow roasted with a smoke ring in them (nothn better)

I rattle on in a few other forums(my DW thinks I am nuts)for talking to strangers.

We are all in pursuit of a great Q
