I went to New Zealand to spend some time with family over the Thanksgiving Holiday. I found out that whole turkey is between $6.50 and $10 a a pound. That's right, a 12 pound turkey costs $120. If anyone would like to seize an opportunity and immigrate to New Zealand and start a turkey ranch, they would be millionaires within a few years.
Anyway, we got a turkey and since no one had a smoker, we had to prepare it in the oven. For some reason, the turkey didn't brown very well. My son wanted to carve the bird, so I just hung back and watched. First he removed the leg/thigh from the main body. I turned to see how that was going and saw this::
Very strange. Anyone else have some unusual photos they would like to post? This could be a good thread for that; the strange and unusual.
