Well we got our invitation to the American Royal. This is our first visit to the Royal and we are excited. Wish us luck and we accept advise from the veterans out there.

Once you know your assignments, start figuring out how long it takes you to walk. Some spots can take 10 min just to GET to the judges table.
And realize that once you're on site, they close the gates and then you have to carry everything in. Take what you need.

I see that wired bbq will be airing the royal live Saturday, if anyone is interested. Here is the link to www.wiredbbq.com. I think they start airing around 9am...oops I could be wrong on this part!
