i tried a search but didn't find anything.

i am wondering if anyone has hooked up an in-line duct fan to their fec. i was thinking i could keep it in my trailer and exhaust out the roof like normal but when i wanted to open the door i could turn on the duct fan and it would clear the smoke from the cooker, then when i closed the door i could turn it off again and let it exhaust like normal again.

has anyone tried this or can anyone offer an opinion or criticism abouit this idea?

thanks

I would think that there is enough flumes being leaked around the door and out the vent holes on the bottom that keeping it in an enclosed trailer would be foolhardy and possibly suicidal. It should be located in it's own enclosed area similar to Butcher's and good vent system for the area in place and operational. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors would be a must.
