Another solid weekend for the FEC cooking teams!!!!!!!

Congratulations to Roy at Tarheel Smokers for his great victory at Norfolk.

I just wanted to add that I had the honor of cooking in this contest also. This was the first time I used an FEC 100 in competition. I'm proud to say that I got two calls, a 6th in ribs and a 6h in brisket and we finished 8th overall in the contest.

I attribute a lot of this to Fast Eddy's class and one great cooker. This was only our fourth contest as a cooking team. I cook with my son Daniel and my wife Donna under the name Double D's Barbecue. I had a great time despite some less than ideal weather conditions Friday night and I met a lot of great people. It just doesn't get any better than this.

I'm glad things are working out for you. Congrats on your awards.
