I see one on Ebay with a starting bid of $1,500 which is less than half the cost of a new one. Is there any reason to get this smoker rather than a new AQ?

The 150 has several differences. The IQ controller (was on the commercial brands for years), the size, plus it has 2 heating elements, not one. Plus it is NSF and UL rated.

There is no regrets about owning a cs 150 for the first 4 years it just keeps putting out alot of prime quality product. then made the investment in a FEC 100 last april.
Both of them complement each other.
