Anyone Upgrade to the 7 shelf system from the 4 shelf??

I'll have to look and see, I upgraded to the 17 shelf system. Don't laugh I was testing a shelf that I could put them ANYwhere vertically. Problem is the damn things weigh a bunch.

My last FEC100 came with the seven, and I love it. The adjustment allows so much more. I like to place them closer together if I am doing alot of chicken and then move then up toward the top of the cooker to keep heat more consitant between the shelves.

Russ, you didn't have 17 shelves in at a time, did you? seems like that would only be good for jerky.

My other FEC 100 also has seven.

Seven shelves, 17 shelves you guys are killing me. Can you actually put 7 shcelve in at one time? What would the spacing between shelves look like?

No, it allowed me to place the shelves where I wanted to. Basically I could change the vertical space. the "set" distance of the 4 shelves or 7 didn't always work for me.

I don't recommend it, it was just an experiment trying to figure out a way to have truly adjustable shelving.

Just got my new FEC100 today and it came with a 7-rack system! Must be something new they're adding. I was surprised.
