A friend of mine has cut down his Crabapple tree and wants to know if i would like the wood for my smoker. Has anyone tried smoking with this type of wood and if so with what meat?
Same as regular apple wood, slightly more tart, not as sweet. Good for smoking any kind of meat, if you don't use too much. Experiment. It needs to be very dry before using. Usually takes a year of laying on top of my metal shed from green until use, for arm size limbs.
