Ok, first off, thanks to everyone who responded to my thread on the gfci outlet problem. The replacement the CS sent is working fine. that said, my question is this... I seasoned the 09 last night, and today I put in a 7lb. Pork Butt... which I have two of - but I only smoked one, its at 183 degrees right now and should be done within another 1.5 hours i figure. Once I pull it out, can I reload it up with wood and just put the second one in? Or do I need to let it cool down, clean, refoil, etc. before smoking the second butt.

Glad you got it fixed, was it easy enough to install?

Let us know how it tastes.

Great advice all.

The key is the firebox, it will be hot, but just load it up and let it go.

Any reason why you didn't put both in?

As for the plateau, it's usually in the 160 to 170 and is indicated by a small drop in temp. Once it starts climbing, it's usually as a steady rate.

Smokin'
It took about 10 minutes to fix - pop off the back, remove the insulation, take out about 4 screws and replace the element. The 1st came out great... being a total newbie, and despite reading the board, MainelyDave's site, etc i still wanted to get my feet wet with just one, and i wasnt sure on loading 2, with the upper one taking longer and all - also, i wanted to try different woods on both. Apple only on the first, apple/hickory on the 2nd.
