Does it make sense to mop my baby backs in the Smokette? Do I gain enough flavor from the mop to offset the increased cook time? Thanks

It's a personal preference. Some swear that you have to, others never do.
I'd suggest trying it yourself, baste/mop some and don't for some of the others and test it out. You'll probably prefer it one way or the other.

Thanks SmokinOkie. Any clue if they'll be drier even with the mop cause I'm opening the door or does it balance out?
Being a newbie, I don't understand mopping during the smoking time. Doesn't the mop wash off all the good rub that you've so carefully formulated and applied?
Depends on how you apply the mop. If you wet the mop and dab it on you'll not disturb much of the rub. If you actually use a mopping action then yes, you will disturb your rub.
Frankly, I've mopped my ribs once since buying my SmokinTex. It was more trouble than it was worth. Done correctly, the ribs are going to come out moist anyway. If you are looking to add a different flavor to your ribs with a mop, go for it, but do plan on a longer smoke.
