I thought I'd ask here since I'm sure many have this situation. While I don't have a Cookshack yet, I've got a Traeger Jr that I might use in contests & I know power won't be a problem at most contests but just as a backup/emergency, I've got a 400/800 inverter & the Traeger uses 300w for the first few minutes then 50 watts for the rest on the 180 digital controller. I was wondering how long I could get off of a battery so as to how many amp battery I'd need to get to get the most bang for the buck. IE how long approx would a 100 amp battery last generally speaking? I saw the post that did the mathmatical conversions but it's been 20-30 years since I've had to do trig/algebra, the hardest math I've done lately has been how many hollywood cut ribs can I get out of a slab of ribs to figure out how many I need to buy More than likely this would be my chicken cooker or just an emergency backup should my main cooker run long. Just trying to figure out what size battery I need as I won't need it that often so don't need to put much money into it. Thank for any help.
