Hey all,

Thinks about converting an antique 1957 13 ft travel trailer into a BBQ wagon/lunchtruck.

I know rules vary between state to state but in general what is going to be required to be in the trailer? I'm not planning to fit my FEC-100 in the trailer. I would have a lot more charm that a new trailer but I also dont want to get in over my head!

Thanks in Advance

jets,
don't know how it is up there in ohio but here in florida you will need;
triple sink with double drain boards
hand washing sink
hot water
potable water
grey water tank with a capacity 15% or more greater than you potable water capacity
refrigeration
hood system (depending on your menu and your local fire marshall this may require a fire suppressor installed)
fire bottle (if i remember right here for me it is 4a20bc)
might have missed a few things but those are the bare minimums as i remember.
you may also need a plan approval (florida is kind of rough on that one costs 150)
and then after all of that is done you will get a final inspection.
but to add more mud to the water here in florida it goes by counties. in mine the only inspectors are the florida state berau of business and professional regulation but in other counties it is the local health dept.
we sort of kept track of all this under the professional section and i think the thread was took the plunge friday. you might need to look at some backpages to find it.
for venting and layout pics go to the same section and look up 2 greyhounds....smokin!!!! rig pics we hope.
hope it helps you some.
it seems daunting but you can do it!!!
just keep the faith
or as we used to say in 69 "it don't mean nothing, drive on"
good luck and if we can be of any use just email.
lots of people on this forum helped us and we are just continuing that tradtion

ps. since the fec isn't in the rig make sure you don't have to provide a screened in cooking area for it. see the list just goes on lol Razzer .
for what it is worth if you do look at the pics look at the reefer and freezer i have to take out to replace my fec shear pin. but what the heck small price to pay for an incredible smoker that has been abused for a year now
