No, why waste a good beer? (actually I'm guilty of putting a GREAT beer in sauces)

Sure, you can do just about anything you want, but like cooking with wine, I'd soak it in a beer you love the taste off, it won't really make them cook better, it will just given "some" taste on the outside.
Well. I did the beer marinade thing this weekend with a rack of St. Louis ribs, the wife was out of town. Got the idea from this thread. And that was my exact experience Tom. I felt the beer bleached out some of the flavoring, and while it was pull off the bone done, the texture just wasn't the same. Good experience, but not a do again IMO.
