big butt

i smoke a case of butts at a time,,,,,8-10 pieces depending on the case. the other day one butt in the case was much larger than the others. they usually weigh in around 6 lbs. this one was a 9 pounder. the rest in the case were 5-6 lbs. not wanting to show favoritism i treated them all the same. when the butts wre done, that monster still had some smoking to do, but i didnt have the time to spare. so i just took em off with the rest of them. well to my suprise, when i sliced them the monster had more smoke flavor than the rest. i guess he hogged up all the smoke... tougher, and just barely done, but very smoky. weird?
