Gosh....I don't remember the last time I posted someting here but suffice it to say, it's been a while. So I guess you could say that I've caught the bbq bug way hard cause I just started competing!!! I purchased a great used Klose cooker and had my New Brunfelds cooker modified so it works like a dream. I'd love to use my sm 008 but it's not allowed in competitions so it stays home for other uses...still using it and it's still going strong! I'd love to be able to get a FEC at some point for competitions but it'll be a while before I can afford it. I took 2nd place ribs in the backyard category and 9th place brisket in the main cook off for my first competition at Albany, OR.
I'd love some advice from other competitors for the other catagories that I didn't do so well in. I'll post the numbers in my next email...got to get to work now.
