I am (was) the proud owner of a 55 then the owner of a local restaurant who is known for his smoked product came over for a party and tried some of mine.

He liked it so much he went down to the local restaurant supply and bought a used 150 smoker they had. He then brought it up to my house for me to show him how to use. The thing is amazing I love the ability to cook and then have it automatically switch to a holding temperature. I really love the extra room its so nice to lay out briskets flat. Plus the door does not smoke like my 55.

Plus it smokes differently than my 55 and I have no idea why. Comments anyone?

I am very happy I bought a Cookshack but I now which I had spent more and got a 150.

Okay, I'm spoiled. I have 2 150's...don't hate me.

What do you mean it smokes different? Are you talking the electronics? I'm sure Stuart would love to hear from everyone about the controls and I'm sure he can provide input. The smaller CS have the "manual" method I'm sure for simplicity of manufacturing, warranty and ease of use.

I still use a Polder to monitor temp, even though it tells me Oven Temp. It has a larger heating element, but that's because of it's size.

Happy to help. I'm sure Stuart would also tell you about any used 150's they have.

WoW !!! Two 150s? I do not hate you but I do envy you. I wonder what I could close the wife on? Maybe they have a used 102 that we could trade up to. Our Canadian dollar and customs takes a big bite.

But I do not want anyone reading this to think the 55 is not a great machine (remember this whole exchange started when a restaurateur who specialized in smoked product tried product out of my 55).
