Bradley Bisquettes

I'm sure you could use them, but I can't imagine why you would want to given the price. You can mail order real wood significantly cheaper. The cookshack smokers use such a small amount of wood that a small bag lasts practically forever.

I haven't used them but the price is 36 cents each and they only last 20 minutes on the 125 watt element of the Bradley. I would have to guess that they may last even a shorter time on the 550 watt element of the Smokette. It seems to me that you might be constantly opening the door and losing heat to keep the smoke going. A 2 to 6 ounce piece of wood is all that's needed for the whole cook in the Smokette and is a whole lot cheaper.

Why do you ask? Do you not have a source for wood chunks? CS sells them by the box and a box would last many months.

If it's for a variety of flavor, you can get the pellets, a bag of pellets, but these burn up pretty quick.

On Monday I will order some chunks from cookshack. Shipping to Hawaii is a killer, I was just considering alternitives. I will stick with the real thing. I have some ribs I am gonna do tomorrow. I messed up the last ones I did by over cooking them. I will try the 3-2-1 method.

you know, most nut trees are good smokin wood. I was just thinking aren't there a lot of macadamia trees in hawaii? Are they a hard wood? Hmmmm

Not to many of those around. We do have Keawe which is pretty decent. I want to try apple wood.

Well, if you can't find a source and CS is too expensive, just tell the forum you need wood.

I'm sure one of us is willing to fly some to Hawaii for you.

Or I'll trade wood for Macadamia's...
