My owners' manual says to break in the oven without meat for the first 4 hours and then right below that says to buy a cheap, fatty hunk of meat to use. Which one is right? My chuck roast awaits.
Thanks for the tip. Middle rack was at 204 with thermostat at 200. Pretty darn good. I put the chuck roast on after the first four hours. The mutts will love it.
Why should the mutts get it??? That hunk of beef could bring forth some might good sandwiches. If you doubt me, check this out: Forum Favorites Recipes/chuck blade roast/see Smoked Chuck Roast
