I was just in Cabela's store in Dundee, Mi. I was in the smoker section and did not see the Cookshack smokers. I was told they are no longer going to carry the Cookshack line. Does anyone know why?
I love my smoker, The only negative I can say about Cookshack is their outlandish
shipping costs for wood chunks and spices.

I believe they have some orders in the works but from what I am told the are working on there own line that may come out soon.I understand about the shipping with new fuel charges and such the cost for shipping has increased. As a customer oriented company we try our hardest to keep prices down but some things we have no control over. I don't know how much product you use but you may give us a call to check on a break for larger orders.
I don't know who electro tech guy is, but I don't think he works for Cookshack or why is answering this question.

I can tell you that Cabela's continues to sell Cookshack smokers, and that they have also added a different, private labeled smoker. I don't know anything about the new one or who makes it. If you are interested in finding out the details, give John Shiflet, Cookshack Sales Manager, a call at the number at the top of the page. He is the most likely person to be able to answer your questions.
kolgof, shipping everywhere is outrgeous! I'll tell ya what i did.Cut a couple trees on my own, seasoned them for 8 months and split them.Planted a spice garden while I was waiting for them to dry.Had to shot the neighbors dog, he refused to stop "watering" the garden. So all In all: wood, chainsaw, my time & trucking $600.......spice seeds, legal fees, water, restituotion, etc. $2,100..........Guy in brown outfit bringing my CS order PRICELESS!! Laugh a little young fellow, What's an extra buck or two to spend on what ya love.
Lowe's carries several types of wood chunks in my area. Hickory, oak, mesquite, and cherry I think. I believe Home depot also carries wood chunks too. Barbeques Galore just went out of business here, but if you have one near you thay have a big selection, or their shipping might be cheaper.
Donna, I was at Cabellas last Sat. I asked where the Cookshack smokers were. I was told by the head of the department, that they were no longer going to carry Cookshack. Maybe this is just the Dundee MI.store I don't know that is why I asked the question.

Look me in the eye a Cookshack is the best" I got my 008 have used it only once so far but the butt I did was out of this world. Ribs today. Bo
