i was wondering if i could place my smoker outside with a cover ? it would be inside a pickett hide-a-way fence close to the house.
we store other outdoor items there.also i was wondering if an extension cord would hinder the cooking process ?thanks so much for your needed replies.

Hi Susan, welcome to the forum.

I believe many folks use their smokers outside, cookshack makes a good cover for the smokette, shouldnt be a problem. extension cords can be, if you have to, make it as short as possible & heavy gauge wire, #12 should be ok for a short distance. happy smokin', I once lived near Ft.Smith, is that anywhere close?
I've stored my CS's outside for years. Now, in my new house, when I get my deck finished, I'll move them back outside.

I do recommend the CS covers, they're heavy duty and fit your CS perfectly.

Also, protect the cord so it doesn't stand in water. I just tuck my under the cover.

I'm sure others will have some creative comments.
