I smoked albacore and then put it in 1/2 pint jars. The first case of jars I just packed fish, the next three cases I packed with 1/2 teaspoon of peanut oil in each jar. The peanut oil batch is definately better, the other one was dry. Later I read in my canning book, there I go reading directions after the fact, I should have put 1 tablespoon of oil per 1/2 pint. Has anyone else tried canning smoked fish??? Any help would be great.
