cherry wood or Coffee wood anyone have experience

Cherry wood works well with pork butts, pork ribs and chicken. It's a mild flavored wood with subtle smoke.

I've never come across coffee wood. Might be interested to smolder some and see what it brings to the table. Dunno where I'd find some though.

I use a lot of cherry. I get woodworking scraps from a cabinet maker. Great smoking wood. Try cherry smoke and a sweet brine on chicken. Or a hickory or pecan and cherry mix.

You'll see unprocessed cherry used on poultry a lot,as Max said.

Don't know about using coffee wood, but if you like the idea of coffee BBQ you might try:

Fette Sau Dry Rub

1/3 cup garlic powder
1 1/2 Tbsp ground cumin
2 1/3 cup dark brown sugar
1 Tbsp cayenne pepper
1/4 cup ground cinnamon
2 cup ground coffee (espresso grind)
2 cup kosher salt
1/2 cup ground black pepper

What have you barbecued with the coffee rub recipe you posted? Sounds interesting for a change of pace.

I haven't tried it yet but may give it a shot on a brisket. Fatte Sau does get rave reviews about their meats and this is the rub they use on everything.

That would work just swell for breakfast brisket, I wouldn't have to worry about making coffee to drink with my meal...LOL...it has to be an eye opener?

Barbecuewood.com is where I found mine it is yet to arrive they did have some suggestions and comments I try everything on ribs or chicken first saves money but to be honest nothing has been anything but spectacular.
