chicken drumsticks vs. wings

I've noticed in the grocery stores where I live that chicken drumsticks are 20 cents a pound cheaper than wings.

I enjoy doing wings. I smoke them in my Weber kettle. However, I'm going to try them in my Smokette, and finish them on the grill, on the advice of others.

My question is, has anyone started to cook chicken drumsticks as you would do wings?

Any comments are appreciated.

I do chicken legs, either in a short brine or cook them and sauce them as you would do buffalo wings.

Proportionately you have less skin to meat on the leg than the wing,so it does great in the CS.

They are pretty moist,but a few hrs marinade does some nice flavor things to them.

A quick finish on the grill will improve the skin some.
