As part of a CBBQA charity cook, I used the FE100 to cook turkey, ham, and chicken wings for the Institute for Black Parenting's Christmas Parties (at two different offices). The FE worked like a champ and all the food was good. The director of the IBP sent me this:

"The Ham, Turkeys and Wings were delicious....We had a training today and had left overs and everyone was so grateful for the wonderful spread....

The families commented last night that the food was just as good it not better than the expensive Hotel and they liked the setting. They came , they ate , they judged the doors for the door decorating Contest, got their gifts and left...I think they liked the idea that they did not have to spend half a day a party.

Thanks again to you and Phillip(your assistant) and your friend who cut the meat[Dr. Don Iverson, master of presentation]....Your dedication to our Agency and children is truly appreciated."

They had been having the parties catered at a hotel, but this year were short on funds so called on the CBBQA to help them out.

We cooked in the parking lot of the offices inside my trailer. No mess, no ashes, grease all in the grease pan, and the food was great. What other cooker could have done it?

By the way, I used Maple pellets I got from Traeger and I think they added something to the ham. Chicken wings were done as per the class - marinade, rub, cook, finish with sauce.

I put a little write-up and some pictures on my website Click here to see it
