Bobby Que, fresno here, I read your problem regarding the plug you are using having tripped for whatever reason, and have a solution. Get a small "night light" that plugs into a 110 outlet.
All you need is the actual plug with the light bulb.....remove any add on's to the plug itself. Plug it into the outlet you are using (there are alway's 2 plugs on an outlet) turn the light on and you can't go wrong. The beauty of this is the fact that you now have visual confirmation that your power supply is not interupted. If the light is out during your "smoke"....you know it has tripped, and you can quickly recognize the problem.

Let ur rip...fresno

That is a good idea, I just finished rewiring my cook shed. I have a small frezer, small refigerator, the smokette, a golf cart charger, a overhead light and, a dusk to dawn light. All of them are wired with there own line 12/2 house type wiring and there own 20 amp breaker. The plug-ins are double plug-ins, so I could put a night light in one and the smoker in the other. When the wife gets threw painting it I will send Smokin some pictures of the shed.
Fresno-

Thanks for your suggestion to solve the circuit breaker problem.

My outside electrical outlets have spring-loaded covers on them that have to be raised before inserting a power cord plug. I think this is to protect the outlets when it rains?

Will take an extra "night-lite" with me and use it for a quick check of the outlet.
