I went out to start the FEC 100 this AM to smoke 2 turkeys for a family gathering Tomorrow. Well it is 5 above zero. The unit went on but the touch pad was just too stiff. Thanks to the forum I tried a hair dryer and that did not work. Took the 100 into the garage (it is heated) anf it started in 15 minutes and I was able to set the temperature. Thanks for the starting advice.
My FE Pellet Grill 1000 started just perfect.
Both are running. It is 8 above zero.
