Congrats to Ray for a great showing.

As most of you know,or know of Ray,and many have taken his class-here is great news.

In the "iron chef bbq/best of best cookoff" contests and tv series from Corpus Christi,Tx this weekend, Ray bested MIM legend Myron Mixon and Texas team,Houston's Holy Smokers.

They were given brisket as their blind category and given Horizon offsets to cook on.

The pros basically fly into town with their knife roll and a couple cubic foot box of their own rubs, etc.

Of course,we've seen him win consistently with Jeds,BGEs,FEC,and a horizontal stickburner should be no shock.

Oops,I about forgot his first win with a turkey on a kettle grill.

Back when KCBS had the poultry category.

Thanks guys. We got to bring one ingredient in a two quart jar that they provided.
It was a lot of fun and paid $3k!
Eddy has his first go this weekend vs. Terry Black, the proprietor of Super Smokers in St. Louis and also a past Memphis in May champion. I don't cook against Eddy in the second round either, but if we both do well we'll be in the finals in New York with two other All-Stars and
two of the regular guys.
