and maybe a few photos (but there is a problem with the disk the Photographer gave me)....
but, a great time was had by all.
Results for the FIRST Cookshack contest team:
- Overall: 14 out of 35
- Chicken: 29 out of 33 (ouch, don't ask)
- Ribs: 6 out of 33
- Pork: 20 out of 33
- Brisket: 5 out of 33
FIRST PLACE in the Dash for Cash, indeed an "Iron Chef" event where 10 teams were selected, given a bag of contents. 15 min for the team to discuss and 1 hour to cook on a Grill. Our winning entry was a stuff pork tenderloin with a spice rub crusted coating. And it even tasted as good as we though
Thanks to Stuart, Nick Nicholas, Papashaka and Smokin Jr for the help. Trying to learn all of the things we needed to learn and also time the entries...
Needless to say we learned a lot. We also had a GREAT time. Hopefully Stuart will hope in with his stories.
The weather sucked, it rained most of the time (no problem for our smokers) and it was cold.
Too many stories and lies about each of those entries to try to explain here.
It's a pretty busy day, I'll try to post a "longer" version of the stories, once I get caught up at work.
