The weather in New England has been drop dead gorgeous. I've been outside doing yardwork and golfing 
I've noticed that myself, I'm up this early on a Sunday to get six pounds of thick sliced jerky into the smoker (model 50).
It SNOWED here this weekend, 3rd time in history to snow in May and yes I was cooking at a comp....been a miserably cold and wet spring.
Complete washout in the Carolinas!

Latest on record here. 2 days in a row. 4" and then 1-1/2".
With all of the rain prior to this, it is one muddy mess down here.

Ft Sill,OK set records for cold/freezing for first days of May.Smokin' will attest how those 30 mph winds with 45 mph gusts can add to being out enjoying the Springtime.The downside of cooks with FECs has always been you can't stay warm by them. 
I was a judge at the Bixby (OK) BBQ & Blues contest Saturday. Our own Butcher BBQ took Grand Champion out of 88 teams. FYI - BBQ Pitmasters was filming an episode for this fall. Looks like Canadian cook Diva Q (Danielle Dimovski) has replaced Arron Franklin.
