Kinda like "gun control",they'll have to "pry my old straight chute outa my cold dead hands"

If I want fried chicken at 450*,or one of Rodney's ribeyes in an iron skillet down over the firepot.

But,the IQ 4,is the greatest thing since canned beer.

Man,if it don't make cookin' a dream,I kinda have trouble figurin' what could better for a comp cook-or the money/fuel saving for a commercial establishment.

Just a couple of thoughts.

I know it' not as bad when they first came out with them. A number of people have bought the kits and retro fitted them.

Me, I kept my original and have a 2nd FE alongside with the IQ. Something about me likes the quick turn of the dial to get the temp up. Silly, but that's me.
Had issues with large temp swings in my 2005 FEC. New temp probe, new controller, different manufacturer pellets did not help. Stuart sent me an IQ retrofit and it was installed on a Thursday evening in about an hour. Turned on the cooker to insure it seemed to work, loaded it in my cook trailer and left for a contest. Haven't looked back and the temp swings went away.
