Cooking with the cover on

Does anyone have any experience with cooking with the cover on on an FEC100? Fast Eddy told me that I can do it, but so far I never have. Do you leave the middle flap open or what? I'm thinking mainly about cooking in the rain...Thanks guys....John

John,

My FE's are vintage (read prior to Cookshack)and I cook with the covers on all the time. Never had any trouble. My covers don't have any zippers. They are solid. I just pull the cover over it and let'er rip. These units are so well insulated that it is not an issue.

I do it all the time. In fact, since I got my cover, it's never come off. I just open up the zipper, flip the front cover over the top and away I go.

No problems at all.
