cooker plug end getting so hot it burned my hand.
I read the manual and it said it should work on a 15 amp circuit, mine is a 20 amp with 15 amp receptacle, didn't do this before just got warm not hot ???

For the element, is the smoker coming up to temp and hold the temp accurately?

I think a call to CS will verify the cause. I'm not good at guessing.

yup it seems to be doing that fine a few deg off but thats normal I think?
it started cooking even before I hit the start switch ( forgot to hit it) and it was cooking anyway.....weird

Sounds like maybe a bad connection in the plug or outlet.

it always got real warm ever since I've had it, maybe 7 years now. ??
