Well, it's Official, sort of.

Hope Stuart doesn't mind, but I wanted to let the Forum know that tomorrow, the CS Professional Team (that's Stuart and me) are entered in a KCBS contest.

Hint, we're not using one of the current models of CS as electrics are not allowed in KCBS.

Hint, no, we're not using my Genuswine.

Hint, there is a new model of CS that is in development and testing and we're using it tomorrow.

Just through you might want to know.

I'll be taking pictures and posting them when I return from Ponca City.

It rained all Friday night and all day Saturday, only about 6".

When I get a chance, I'll post the photos, but I'm recovering from a cold (just what I needed in a rain storm).

Stuart and everyone were great, you can't appreciate dedication until you see rain like that.

More later.

I am totally curious....

DrBBQ may have been there and saw it...

I have my bet on a unit that is similar to those rectangular box smokers (Backwoods) that do a pretty darn good job. Cookshack manufacturing may be similar to those units and it would seem to be easier to make a similar model.

Inquiring minds want to know!!!

Okay, here's some photos of the RIVER the grew overnight between each of the contestant sites, as the result of 6" of rain.

Note: there was NOT a river there when we set up the tent.

We finished in the middle, 14 out of 27, because we were using the new CS Smoker. My first time to cook on it and Stuart had done a number of smokes.

It was a fun contest.

OH, you want to see the smoker....not hear about the contest....
Okay, so the deals are being worked out by the principals, and this is all subject to change, but guess I can post the photo.

You'll have LOTS of questions and you'll have to give CS time to answer. Stuart is traveling a lot over the next two weeks, so it will take time for the official word to be published. But as members of the forum, you can hear it here first:

Apologize for the quality of the photo and no other pictures, but I didn't want to ruin my expensive camera in the rainstorm.

Yes indeed it is an FE100 Pellet Cooker. the intent, I believe, is to take the best of both and create a new level of cooker, mainly aimed at the high end users.

This will NOT replace any of the existing CS's. This is to fill in a new area for CS and to allow them to expand the business. I know there are probably lots of questions, so please BE PATIENT as the details are still being worked.

In size it's about the size of a 150 and that box on the left (under the plastic to keep the rain out) is the pellet bin.
