Is the cookshack pellets the same as Fast Eddy's pellets? I hear everyone talkin about the FE 100% hickory pellets. I got two bags with my fec 100 and was wondering if they are the same.
Yes. They are really good pellets too. I've tried one other manufacturer but came back to these since I like the way there is minimal ash and the flavor profile.
The Hickory pellets being sold by Cookshack under the the Cookshack/FastEddy label are 60% oak + 40% Hickory.
I spoke to FE back in late '09 when he was developing 100% hickory pellets. He sold me a bag. Can't say I noticed much of a difference from the current crop of CS/FE Hickory pellets. I don't think FE still sells the 100% Hickory pellets...could be wrong.
Huh, I remember when I picked mine up I bought 4 bags of the FE 100% hickory pellets and then when I unwrapped it the two bags that were included were identical. I'll have to check the two bags CS shipped me with the FE pellets. Thanks for the info MaxQue.
