The Mrs. and I went over to Moline, Ill. for her monthly cousins’ dinner last night.
They try to get all the aunts, uncles, and cousins together for a meal and a chance to visit with each other at a different place each month, mostly in or around the Quad Cities.
We mostly travel around to mom and pop restaurants and while we’ve never really had a bad meal or bad service it is more about the visiting than anything else, but good BBQ is always a bonus
Anyway, on the menu last night was Cookshack ribs so I had to try them.
I ordered a 1/4 rack catfish platter, and while they weren’t “to die for”, if I ever make it back there I will most definitely go for the full rack.
My wife, who will eat my BBQ only and always orders catfish if it is available, was impressed enough with seeing the Cookshack ribs she had to point it out to everyone because Arnie has a Cookshack smoker.
