Bought the butt yesterday, cut it in half, puit one ofthe halves in the 009 last night (7pm ) at 260 degrees. Took it out this morning at 6am and the internal tempature was 200 degrees.Had rubbed sea salt, fresh grond black pepper and all purpose sedasoning into the butt tywo hours before cooking. Pulled it about 10am and fixed sandwiches withe hb buns and Manwhich sauuce for lunch.I think BBQ sauce is better than Mannwhich sause ( to much tomato).


Was very pleased to learn the 009 would let the butt reach 200 PLUS degrees internally. Have a brisket waiting to cook next.
