2cups plus 1TBS self-rising cornmeal,divided.
1cup self-rising flour.
1/3cup sugar.
1/4tsp baking soda.
2cups buttermilk.
1/2cup butter/margarine,melted.
1 large egg.
GREASE a 9X5-inch loafpan,and sprinkle pan lightly with 1 tablespoon cornmeal.
COMBINE 2 cups cornmealand next three ingredients in a large bowl;add remaining ingerdients and stirring until blended.Pour batter into prepared pan,and let it rest for 10 minutes.
BAKE at 400degrees for 40 minutes or until lightly browned.Cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes.Remove and enjoy.

Ive made it and it's a killer,goes with anything and great for leftover turkey sandwiches with cranberry salsa.
